Combat Records announces first new signing
Legendary record label Combat Records — recently relaunched under new ownership — has
announced its first new signing. The label, formerly run by Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson and now
owned by Robert Dujmusic and Alex Stojak, operating from its new office in Germany, has inked a
deal with South Wales hard-rock band James Kennedy and The Underdogs for the release of their
new album, scheduled for later this year.
Formed in 2023 by musician, author, and former Kyshera frontman James Kennedy, the band has
shared stages with Ginger Wildheart and The Meffs, and has appeared at festivals including
Beautiful Days, Nozfest, and Just Push Play in support of their debut album Make Anger Great
Again.
Described as “Wales’s most vital live act” by Uber Rock, the band features former members of
Kane’d, Ravenbreed, and the Kennedy Soundtrack. Of the deal, singer James Kennedy says:
“We’re so stoked to be working with the awesome crew over at Combat. It’s great to see
that iconic name back in business, and we’ve got one hell of a new record to unleash on
it”
Combat Records label manager Robert Dujmusic says:
“Combat is thrilled to back the mighty Underdogs — a hard-working, hard-touring
band with a punk attitude worthy of the Combat name. And their new album is insane”
Further details on the album, singles, and tour dates will be announced soon, alongside additional
news on future signings and developments at the label.
